From Tech to Tidy: Why I Left the Corporate World to Start a Cleaning Company

If you’ve ever made a big career shift, you know how surprising—and fulfilling—it can be to follow a path you never expected. For me, that path led from tech to home services. After years in the fast-paced corporate world, I felt called to create something more personal, more tangible, and more connected to everyday well-being. That’s how Consistently Clean was born—a luxury eco-friendly cleaning company built with heart, high standards, and the belief that everyone deserves to come home to calm.

The Breaking Point (a.k.a. The Spark)

The idea for Consistently Clean didn’t come from a business plan. It came from a problem—one I personally experienced, again and again. I was a busy professional, like so many of our clients, trying to keep my home a calm, healthy space amid the chaos of work, travel, and endless to-do lists. And despite trying service after service, I couldn’t find a cleaning company that felt reliable, safe, and consistent. One would be late. Another would miss key areas. And some used products I didn’t feel comfortable having around my family.

That’s when it clicked: if I couldn't find the cleaning company I was looking for, maybe it was time to build it myself.

Applying Operational Rigor to Everyday Living

Coming from the tech world, I lived in a world of systems, scalability, and quality assurance. We didn’t just hire people and hope for the best—we built processes. We invested in training. We prioritized consistency and user experience.

So when I started Consistently Clean, I brought that same mindset with me.

I didn’t want to be another "good enough" cleaning service. I wanted to build a company that would feel different from the moment someone opened their door. A company where cleaners are trained, background checked, and empowered, not rushed or unsupported. A company where non-toxic, eco-friendly products are the norm, not a premium add-on. And above all, a company that people could trust with their homes—and their peace of mind.

Why Cleaning?

Because cleaning isn’t just about a shiny countertop. It’s about walking into a space that makes you feel calmer, clearer, and cared for. It’s about giving people their time back. It’s about showing up for people in a very real, tangible way. And honestly, I love that.

Cleaning is physical. It’s purposeful. It’s service in its most honest form—and when done right, it changes people’s lives in small but powerful ways.

Today, Consistently Clean is proud to serve clients across the Dallas area—from busy families to new homeowners, professionals, and realtors. And while we’ve grown, we’ve never strayed from what started it all: the belief that your home deserves to be treated like our own.

We only hire W-2 employees so we can properly train and support our team. We use carefully vetted non-toxic products that are safe for children, pets, and sensitive spaces. And we’ve created systems to ensure consistent, high-quality cleans every single time.

I didn’t leave tech because I was burnt out—I left because I saw a gap worth filling. A need that mattered. A chance to make something better. That’s what Consistently Clean is all about.
